This EMID integrated smart library management solution combines UHF RFID identification and traditional EM anti-theft technology into one single composite tag. 

Equipped with self-service borrowing & returning machines, mobile inventory carts, dual-frequency security gates and a central web monitoring platform, the system realizes batch book identification, fast shelf sorting, full-process anti-theft and seamless docking with original library management systems via standard SIP2 interface, covering all core library operation links.
I. Pain Points of Library Management
1.1 Low single-item identification efficiency with barcode limits
Barcode scanning requires line-of-sight alignment and only supports one book at a time. It cannot read through paper, and labels easily wear or get stained, leading to frequent recognition failures and long waiting queues during peak borrowing hours.

1.2 Separated circulation and anti-theft systems
Ordinary single-frequency RFID signals are easily shielded by human bodies and metal bookshelves, causing security gate missed alarms and frequent book loss. Traditional independent EM magnetic strips and RFID labels need two separate stickers on each book, increasing processing workload.

1.3 Extremely time-consuming manual inventory & shelf sorting
Full-library stocktaking requires staff to scan each book one by one, taking days to complete. Misplaced, missing and off-shelf books cannot be automatically located, bringing heavy repetitive labor to administrators.

1.4 Isolated data between multiple management systems
Original catalog, borrowing and security systems operate independently without unified data interaction. Massive manual data entry is needed when updating book information, causing inconsistent records across platforms.

1.5 Poor compatibility with old library collections
A large number of existing books are only pasted with single EM magnetic strips. Conventional pure RFID systems cannot identify these old volumes, requiring full replacement of all labels with high transformation costs.

1.6 Lack of unified remote equipment supervision
Scattered borrowing terminals, inventory devices and security gates cannot be centrally monitored. Staff cannot quickly check equipment faults or view real-time circulation and alarm data remotely.
II. Solution Overview
2.1 Dual-function composite one-piece tag binding
Adopt integrated EMID tags integrating UHF RFID chip and EM anti-theft magnetic strip. The slim hidden design fits book spine gaps without damaging pages. Each tag carries an unalterable unique ID, storing complete book metadata, supporting repeated data rewriting and compatible with original single EM magnetic strip books.

2.2 Full-node dual-frequency RFID data collection
Deploy tag conversion workstations, self-service all-in-one machines and mobile inventory carts. All devices support synchronous RFID batch reading and EM fast degaussing/magnetizing (within 30ms). Mobile equipment automatically marks misplaced books and gives accurate shelf location prompts during inventory.

2.3 Dual-frequency linkage anti-theft monitoring mechanism
Install dual-frequency security access gates to simultaneously detect RFID tag status and EM magnetic signals. Double alarm logic eliminates signal shielding blind spots, effectively preventing unauthorized book removal and reducing inventory loss risks.

2.4 Middleware for cross-system data interconnection
Reserve standard SIP2 protocol interfaces to seamlessly connect the EMID platform with existing library catalog and management systems. It automatically converts historical barcode data to RFID tag data, eliminating repeated manual entry and realizing unified data sharing.

2.5 Modular low-latitude deployment architecture
The whole set of hardware supports phased deployment without large-scale renovation of library facilities. Users can separately launch self-service circulation, inventory or anti-theft modules according to actual budget and management demands, with strong scalability.

2.6 Centralized web remote supervision platform
The cloud monitoring system centrally displays the running status of all terminal equipment, supports remote parameter configuration, fault diagnosis, video linkage and automatic generation of inventory, borrowing and loss statistical reports, realizing full digital closed-loop library operation management.
